Introduction
The film is based on the actual events of the "democracy protests" that took place in Hong Kong from 2019 to 2020, and is told from the different perspectives of two Hong Kong women living in Japan, Diana Sato, and a Japanese man, Taku Nagato.
This is a docudrama that combines documentary techniques with dramatic drama.

This is the fifth time that Kenkichi Sakai has worked with STUDIO F+, including “Digital Camera of Fate” (2011) and “Santa ga Sannin!?” (2013). For his film “Diana from Hong Kong,” Sakai won the Best Sounding Award at the 2024 Kurdistan International Independent Film Festival (KIIFF).

Produced and directed a documentary film “Cinema Story 2007 - 2008” and presented at the 35th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Imaging Science and Technology held at Nagoya University, Japan.

Produced and directed an experimental film “Marija's World” at the 36th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Imaging Science and Technology held at Nihon University College of Art.

Received the Gizmon Award for the short film “Nighttime Phone Receptionist” produced and directed at the first iPhone 3-minute Film Festival.
August 2011
Won the “Popular CM Award” at the “Morinaga Nubo CM Contest” sponsored by filmo for the commercial work produced and directed by the filmmaker.
